Love Lamb Week 2024, running during 1st to 7th September, is a fantastic opportunity to rediscover the delicious flavors and versatility of lamb. This year, the “Make it Lamb” campaign, a collaborative effort by UK red meat levy boards, invites everyone to embrace lamb in new and exciting ways.
Euro Quality Lambs have supported Love Lamb Week since the initiative started in 2015 by National Sheep Association (NSA). Our previous blog on Love Lamb Week can be found here:
Here’s how you can support this celebration:
- Explore New Recipes: Lamb is incredibly versatile, perfect for everything from traditional roasts to creative, modern dishes. Love Lamb Week is the ideal time to try new recipes. Look out for lamb-focused content on social media and websites like makeitscotch.com for inspiration.
- Support Local Butchers and Farm Shops: Many local butchers and farm shops look set to participate in Love Lamb Week with special promotions and recipes. This is a great way to support your community and enjoy high-quality, locally-sourced lamb.
- Join the Conversation Online: Use the digital assets available from the “Make it Lamb” campaign from AHDB website to share your love for lamb on social media. Whether you’re posting a picture of a lamb dish you’ve made or sharing information about the campaign, your involvement helps spread the word.
- Engage with Influencers: Follow and engage with food influencers who will be sharing lamb recipes and tips throughout the week. Their creative ideas can help you discover new ways to enjoy lamb.
- Educate and Inspire: If you have children, Love Lamb Week is a perfect time to teach them about the importance of lamb in a healthy diet. By their active participation, schools across the UK are making it a broader educational moment.
We encourage local butchers to use available digital assets and literature to enhance awareness about this campaign within their local communities and trade zones.
By participating in Love Lamb Week 2024, you’re not just enjoying delicious meals—you’re consequently supporting local farmers and promoting sustainable eating. So, get involved and Make it Lamb!
