Mohammad (senior) is the Founder and Chief Executive of EQL. He coined the phrase to represent the ethos of the company ‘No Compromise on Quality & Service’.

With over 45 years’ experience working with lamb to his name, Mohammad is well known and respected for his
immense knowledge and contribution to the industry. He was previously a member of the MLC Sheep Strategy Council
and his ongoing commitment to deliver better quality, better service and better flavour saw him shortlisted
within the Best Business category at the Lloyds TSB Asian awards.

Rizvan is a Chartered Accountant by profession and has a Masters in Meat Science & Technology from the University of Bristol.

His primary role is in Strategy and Quality Assurance and has guided the business through the achievement of multiple quality standards and awards. He leads the marketing team that represents Euro Quality Lambs at industry events, seminars, trade shows & exhibitions.

Rizvan is very active within the industry being a board member of the industry levy board Agricultural and Horticultural Development Board Beef & Lamb as well as a director of the meat trade association the Association of Independence Meat Suppliers.

Ali has played an integral part in helping us grow and become the company we are today. Having worked at all levels within the business and within a variety of departments including Newington Farm Ali’s versatility makes him an invaluable asset and all-rounder to have on board. He has been in charge of livestock procurement for many years where he relishes the interactive nature of the role.

A crucial part of our ever-expanding sales team, Habib became the latest member to join the family business back in 2008. He spent his first year working hands-on in operations, dispatch and product quality before being promoted to the sales front-line.

Habib has enhanced business relations within the european markets through extensive networking and market research. He has traveled to many parts of Europe, developing his market & product knowledge through new sales leads and networking events. He actively represents the company at marketing exhibitions, conferences and industry events.

Mark has been at the abattoir since leaving school. Upon joining the Euro Quality Lambs family, Mark quickly progressed within the company thanks to his steely determination and aptitude.

Following the acquisition of our Craven Arms site, Mark’s commitment and skills were soon recognised and he was promoted to Site & Operations Manager. He hasn’t looked back since and today plays a crucial role in operational management & quality control.
