SIAL 2024 – the most exciting food expo

Monday, October 28th, 2024

Following its market precedent, this month Euro Quality Lambs (EQL) once again exhibited at one of the largest food and beverage trade shows of Europe, SIAL Paris 2024.

Agriculture and Horticulture Development Board (AHDB) continued its collaborative efforts and organised a pavilion for top British meat exporters to exhibit at SIAL. EQL showcased its lamb portfolio at the pavilion located in Hall 6, stand F 219 during 19 – 23 October.

The AHDB pavilion again provided a trade platform for British exporters to show case their excellence in lamb production. SIAL 24 unveiled marvellous opportunities for EQL for engaging with its current and potential customers and trade partners. EQL also had wonderful time networking with industry colleagues and associates.

There was a considerable increase in interest for EQL’s Halal Grass-fed British lamb from importers and wholesalers from France, Belgium, Germany, Sweden, Denmark and the middle-east. There were also several enquiries from retailers in France to showcase EQL lamb onto their shelves.

Due to the lack of livestock availability across Europe, demand remains high for the grass-fed premium quality British lamb meat and offals resulting higher prices. In this climate, sustaining economically viable supply chain and logistics become more complex than ever. Consequently, we look forward to working closely with our suppliers to meet the growing demand and enhanced expectations of our customers in supplying high-quality lamb carcasses and offal that EQL has to offer.

British Meat Dinner

On Monday, 21st October AHDB organised a prestigious 30th British Meat Dinner for its meat industry colleagues, partners, levy payers and exporters of British meat to celebrate the industry achievements and its competitive export outlook across Europe. AHDB’s CEO Graham Wilkinson congratulated the exporters and partners involved and wished them further sustainable growth in the sector.

This prestigious event serving a four course meal was hosted at The Westin Hotel, Paris and was attended by well over 200 people. The event provided a great opportunity for business networking amongst the British meat sector.

EQL will continue working with AHDB in exhibiting at future shows of SIAL. The next one will be held during 17-21 October 2026.
